Tom Yum Goong Soup
This tom yum soup is made with a dash of condensed milk for a creamy version of the classic soup. Tom yum is known worldwide for its intoxicating hot and sour flavours, this soup is a perfect tonic for clearing the sinuses.
Ingredients
2-3 tsp Thai Taste Tom Yum Paste
150g Large Raw Prawns - shelled.
12 Mushrooms - thinly sliced.
8 Baby Sweet Corn - halved.
1 tsp Thai Taste Fish Sauce
120ml Condensed Milk
1 Lime - juiced.
Preparation
Step 1
Stir 2-3 tsp of Thai Taste Tom Yum Paste into 500ml of boiling water. Add the prawns, mushrooms and baby sweet corn, then simmer on low heat until the aromas are released (10 mins).
Step 2
Add in the condensed milk. Season to taste with Thai Taste Fish Sauce and freshly squeezed lime juice.
Chef's Tip
To create Tom Yum Nam Khon - a creamier, smoother version of the classic Tom Yum, simply add 200ml of Thai Taste Coconut Milk.
