We’re giving away a ten-day trip for two to Thailand with Audley Travel. The prize includes return economy air travel from London to Bangkok, transfers, airport and departure taxes and nine nights' accommodation in some of Thailand's finest hotels. You'll get an overview of the country's great diversity with a private guided tour of Bangkok's hidden charms, a trip to the ancient city of Chiang Mai, and time to relax in a secluded coastal resort.
Following your flight from London you’ll spend two days in Bangkok taking a guided street food tour on your first morning. Meandering around street stalls and markets with a local guide you’ll get to taste lots of unfamiliar dishes and build your confidence with Thai food for the rest of your trip. In the evening you’ll top it off with a dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River.
On your second day in Bangkok you can enjoy a full-day Bangkok City Safari which will take you to the city’s key attractions by river taxi, longtail boat, Skytrain and tuk tuk for an overview of the city’s sights and its hidden canals. While in Bangkok you’ll stay at the Anantara Bangkok Riverside, a sleek, modern hotel set in lush tropical gardens with a large swimming pool.
From Bangkok you’ll head to Chiang Mai, an ancient city with a laid-back atmosphere, numerous temples and renowned night markets. You’ll spend three nights at the Anantara Chiang Mai Resort, a chic hotel that blends traditional design with contemporary styling. While in the city you can explore the moated old quarter with its traditional houses and take a ‘Thai for a day’ tour, which includes a visit to the home of a local family to experience typical Thai life, learn traditional skills, and have a cooking class with the family.
The final leg of your trip will be a four-night stay at the Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort, a tranquil, waterfront hotel on the idyllic island of Koh Samui. With azure waters and white sands, you can spend your days lazing by the infinity pool, relaxing on the beach, getting pampered in the spa, practising yoga or enjoying gourmet food.
